About CarbonUnits

CarbonUnits is an independent publication on carbon markets. We cover voluntary and compliance markets, the policy that shapes them, nature-based solutions and carbon removal.

The site has three parts. The news section reports on the market week by week, with every article linked to its original source. The knowledge base explains how carbon credits work, from project design to retirement. The topic and provider pages help you find your way around the market.

CarbonUnits is operated by Green Earth Group NV.

How we produce articles is described in our editorial policy.
